About the Role:
We're looking for an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to support our manufacturing operations and help drive a positive, high-performing workplace culture based out of our Chagrin Falls, OH location. In this role, you'll partner closely with leaders and employees to provide both strategic guidance and day-to-day HR support across the employee lifecycle.
You'll play a key role in talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, compliance, and workforce planning. Success in this position requires strong business acumen, sound judgment, and a genuine passion for supporting employees while helping the organization achieve its goals.
What You'll Do:
Partner with Leaders and Employees:
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees across the manufacturing facility.
- Provide guidance on employee relations, performance management, workforce planning, and organizational needs.
- Support staffing assessments, employee development, succession planning, and change initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Lead recruiting efforts from sourcing and interviewing through hiring and onboarding.
- Coordinate background checks, employment eligibility verification, and new hire orientation.
- Help create an exceptional onboarding experience that sets employees up for success.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging work environment.
- Support employee recognition, appreciation programs, and engagement initiatives including employee engagement events throughout the year.
- Address employee concerns and conduct investigations when needed.
- Coordinate disciplinary actions and terminations in partnership with leadership.
Performance & Development:
- Support performance review processes, development planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate and deliver training programs related to HR policies, compliance, and employee development.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including medical, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and employee assistance programs.
- Manage open enrollment and employee benefit changes throughout the year.
- Own payroll administration and support in annual compensation review processes.
Compliance & HR Operations:
- Maintain accurate employee records, HR files, and job descriptions.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, EEO, and COBRA.
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Track, analyze, and report on key HR metrics to support business decisions.
- Stay current on employment law updates, HR trends, and best practices.
Safety & Workplace Well-Being:
- Participate on the plant safety committee and support workplace safety initiatives.
- Assist with workers' compensation, occupational health, and safety-related programs.
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.
- Experience supporting HR functions in a manufacturing, industrial, or operations environment.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
- Experience with ADP or similar HRIS platforms.
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of change management principles and workforce planning.
