Summary:
Entry-level position that is responsible for sanding disks as the primary daily function, ensuring parts meet quality, dimensional, and finish specifications. This role also provides general production support and is expected to be trained and cross-functional in other production operations including options, treatment, final assembly, and shipping/receiving as business needs require. Achieves performance expectations for productivity, quality, on-time delivery, safety, and other ZOOK policies.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sanding of disks, following standard work instructions and established quality requirements.
- Inspect sanded disks to verify surface finish and overall quality, identify and report defects or deviations.
- Complete assigned production operations in accordance with standard work procedures.
- Demonstrate safe work practices and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain workplace organization and general housekeeping.
- Maintain and care for production tools and equipment.
- Move between approved production operations as needed to support customer requirements and production schedules. Support and cross-train in additional production areas including options, treatment, final assembly, shipping, and receiving as business needs require.
- Contribute improvement ideas and support changes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration.
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, engineering drawings, and product specifications.
- Ability to use micrometers, calipers, and other measurement devices.
- Ability to achieve production targets and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work overtime and support changing production requirements.
